Dr. Stella Pantazopoulou

An orthopaedic surgeon in Al Wasl Branch, Dr. Stella graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in Greece and earned the Degree of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2010. Following her graduation, she completed a two-year internship at the Department of Exotic and Wildlife Medicine in AUTH and an additional two-year internship at the Department of Surgery and Orthopaedics.

Personal Experience

She has been working in Dubai since 2015 and her main fields of interest and experience are orthopaedics, ophthalmology, general medicine and surgery of small mammals, exotics, birds, and reptiles. She is an active member of AOVET Foundation (Global Network of Veterinary Surgeons) and ESVOT (European Society of Veterinary Orthopedics and Traumatology).

Her journey in the world of orthopaedics started during her Master degree at Aristotle University, where she gained most of her A-Z experience as a Professor's surgical assistant.
She continued her studies and hands-on practice with intensive courses in Italy and Germany.
She is among the first surgeons who introduced TPLO surgeries for the treatment of Cranial Cruciate Ligament and she was in the surgeons team for the first successful Total Hip Replacement for a dog in UAE.
She has performed thousands of surgeries along her 15 years experience and she is recently working in mastering arthroscopic procedures.
She holds the title of Arthrex Vet Systems Consultant in Advanced Orthopedics for the region of Middle East and has been a speaker and instructor in Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
